My love for home and family goes way back to when I was a kid!! My mom was always decorating (think 80’s country, y’all!!), and my father…we’ll, let’s just say his slight-OCD tendencies kinda rubbed off on me making this the perfect profession for me. Thanks dad!! I was also fortunate to have a “make-it-happen” type stepmom who helped raised me to be an independent woman who values commitment & follow through. And, an engineer stepdad who’s always available to help me problem solve and learn new things. My parents taught me to have pride in where I live (even if renting) by taking care of my home and all the things I fill it with.
My mission has always been to create a nice, comfortable place that is visually pleasing as well as easy to maintain (aka “clean”). One where I spend less time doing chores (like matching socks after every load…who has the time for that?!?) and more time doing things I enjoy. I cannot wait to share with you the things I’ve learned throughout the years…tips that’ll make chores less daunting, ideas that will make your place feel more comfortable, and habits that’ll help your home run smoothly.
As a kid, I was interested more in decorating my dollhouse than I was actually playing with dolls. Once I had my own room, every few months I would declutter, deep clean and decorate all without being told (which I’ve since learned isn’t normal teenage behavior!!). In high school I was co-Vice-President of my Senior class where I assisted with event planning, and after college I worked as a linen, clothing & shoe merchandiser for a large retail company. It was like playing in a GIANT house everyday!! It was awesome. But, in 2007, I took a big leap from my corporate job of five years and started a housekeeping business. I loved it!! I learned how to run a business, met many wonderful people, and after recognizing a common need that went beyond the realm of housekeeping, I was introduced to the world of professional organizing and design.

While not working I love: Arts & crafts. Photography. Decorating. Coffee. Dirty Dancing. Personal growth. The beach. Word games. Exploring Pinterest and Instagram. Road trips. Genealogy. And of course, being with family and friends.
